About this course
Structural engineering with architecture combines the technical rigour of structural engineering with the spatial and aesthetic sensibility of architectural design, producing graduates who understand both how buildings stand and what they should look and feel like. Structural engineering provides the mathematical and mechanical analysis needed to ensure that buildings and infrastructure are safe, stable, and durable. Architecture brings an understanding of form, function, space, and the human experience of the built environment. Together they address the full complexity of what it means to design and deliver buildings that are both safe and significant. At Queen's University Belfast, this five-year full-time programme leading to an MEng qualification in Structural Engineering with Architecture addresses all aspects of the built environment, from architectural design and structural analy
