Biomedical science is the scientific study of the biological and chemical processes underlying human health and disease. It sits at the intersection of biology, chemistry, and medicine, using the tools of molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, immunology, and analytical chemistry to investigate how the body works and how disease disrupts its normal functions.
