It is a field of both theoretical rigour and enormous practical relevance, providing conceptual tools that are applied in government, business, finance, international organisations, and public policy. A degree in economics trains you to think with precision about systems and incentives, to work with quantitative data and models, and to communicate complex ideas about the forces that drive prosperity, inequality, and change.
