Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour, bringing rigorous empirical methods to bear on some of the most complex and fundamental questions about human experience. It examines how people perceive, think, remember, feel and act, and it investigates how these processes are shaped by biological, developmental, social and cultural factors. As a discipline it is both theoretically rich and practically significant, with applications in healthcare, education, organisations, sport, law and public policy.
