About this course

Biomedical science is the study of the human body in relation to health and disease, and as a profession it forms a vital component of medical practice. Our Biomedical Sciences BSc(Hons) with Integrated Foundation Year course offers an extra year to prepare you for study at degree level. Opting for the foundation year means you’ll gain scientific and data skills that will help you maximise your degree’s potential. On successful completion of the foundation year, you will be able to progress to the Biomedical Sciences BSc(Hons) degree where you’ll explore clinically related areas including blood sciences, cell pathology, microbiology, human physiology and pharmacology to prepare you for a career as a biomedical scientist. Accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and the Royal Society of Biology (RSB).
