Business computing sits at the intersection of two disciplines that are increasingly inseparable in practice. Computing provides the technical skills to design, build and manage information systems, databases, networks and software applications. Business gives those technical capabilities a commercial and organisational context, examining how information systems support business decisions, how technology enables competitive advantage, how digital transformation is reshaping industries, and what the management challenges of deploying computing in organisations look like. Together they produce graduates who can bridge the gap between technical and business thinking, a combination that is consistently in demand.
