As an HR/recruitment consultancy director, you run a team of people whose job is to find workers for businesses. You help companies figure out what kind of employees they need, then you hunt for those people, interview them, and help them get hired. You need good leadership skills to run a strong team and the ability to understand what different businesses actually need.
Your work mixes talking to businesses about their hiring problems, staying on top of what kinds of jobs and workers are trending, managing your team of recruiters, and making sure your business is profitable. You work with senior people at companies, learn about their goals and struggles, and use that knowledge to find the right candidates. You are part matchmaker, part businessperson, and part detective.
