The role

What a ship stewards (excludes catering) actually does, day to day.

As a ship steward, you keep the ship clean and make sure passengers are comfortable. You'll clean cabins, tidy up lounges and dining rooms, and make sure everything is stocked and ready. You'll also help passengers with questions and let crew know if something needs fixing.

You'll work as part of a crew that all depends on each other. Yes, you'll be away from home for weeks at a time, but many stewards enjoy the travel and the chance to make friends from different countries. Day to day

1Maintain cleanliness and organization of passenger cabins and common areas.
2Assist passengers with inquiries and provide information about onboard services.
3Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
4Manage laundry services, including washing, ironing, and delivering garments to passengers.
5Support the crew in emergency drills and safety procedures.
6Restock supplies in cabins and public areas, ensuring everything is well-equipped.
7Coordinate with catering teams to facilitate meal services and special requests.
8Report maintenance issues and assist in minor repairs as needed.
