The role

As a biomedical scientist, you work in hospital or laboratory settings running tests that help doctors know what's wrong with patients. You take blood samples or tissue and use equipment to check for things like infections, cancer or diabetes. Most days you're at the bench working with samples, using machines to analyse them and recording the results.
