This job holds up well against AI
AI is used for a modest share of what this job actually involves today, and people want a real person for this. That preference is the protection. That is about as safe as careers get right now, though it is still worth learning to use the tools well.

The role

As a Training Consultancy Director, you run a team that helps businesses teach their people better. You meet with clients to understand what skills their staff need, then design training programmes that fit. You lead your team of training consultants, making sure they do great work and keep getting better at what they do.

Most days you will be talking to clients about their challenges, reviewing training plans your team has created, and checking that the training actually makes a difference. You will set the direction for the business, hire talented people, manage the finances and stay on top of what works well in training and education right now.

Daily responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic training initiatives that align with client objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of training consultants to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify gaps in client training programs.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Analyze training outcomes and adjust programs based on feedback and metrics.
  • Oversee the creation of training materials, ensuring they are engaging and effective.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to enhance service offerings.
  • Prepare and present reports on training effectiveness and business development opportunities.
