Global Creative Industries

About this course
The global creative industries, spanning film, television, music, games, fashion, publishing, advertising, design, and digital media, represent one of the most dynamic and economically significant sectors in the contemporary world. Understanding how creativity functions within and across these industries, how global trends and technologies shape what gets made and who benefits from it, and how human cultures generate value that goes beyond the purely commercial, is the central intellectual project of this degree. At Leeds this three-year full-time programme equips you with both conceptual frameworks and practical skills to operate effectively in creative industries environments. You will explore how technology and globalisation are transforming the production, distribution, and consumption of creative work, and examine what makes cultural expression valuable and how that value is captur
