About this course

Integrative counselling draws on multiple therapeutic traditions, combining elements from different theoretical frameworks, such as person-centred therapy, psychodynamic approaches, cognitive-behavioural perspectives, and humanistic and existential ideas, to provide a flexible, client-centred approach to therapeutic work. This requires both a thorough understanding of multiple frameworks and the self-awareness and reflective capacity to use them responsibly in practice. This part-time foundation degree programme at Birmingham Newman University provides professional training that leads to a qualification as a BACP registered counsellor. You will develop both professional and academic compete
