About this course

International relations is the study of how the world is organised: how states relate to one another, how international institutions and law shape behaviour, how conflict arises and is managed, and how global challenges from climate change to migration and poverty are addressed through collective action or fail to be. At Regent's University London, this four-year, full-time programme begins with a foundation year in liberal arts and media, which establishes an interdisciplinary intellectual context before you move into the international relations core. The liberal arts foundation develops your critical thinking, writing, and engagement with ideas across philosophy, politics, literature, and media before you specialise. From the first year of the degree proper, you will engage with the major theoretical traditions in international relations, from realism and liberalism to constructivism
