About this course

Psychology’s goal is to understand human behaviour and law’s purpose is to control it. Combine both to gain insight into why, as well as how, law is applied. Psychology’s goal is to understand human behaviour and law’s purpose is to control it. Combine both to gain insight into why, as well as how, law is applied. Combine a qualifying law degree with the study of psychology and discover the significant ways these two disciplines inform one another. You’ll study how laws are interpreted and applied. Your psychology studies will help you understand how magistrates, judges, lawyers and others are influenced by their own psychological biases, perceptions, and cognitive limitations. Law and psychology studies complement each other. While the goal of psychology is to understand human behaviour, the purpose of the law is to control it.
