About this course

Philosophy, politics and ethics is a combination that addresses some of the most important and difficult questions that face individuals and societies: how should we live, how should power be organised and exercised, and what do we owe each other? Philosophy provides the tools of rigorous argument, conceptual analysis and critical reasoning. Politics examines how institutions, ideologies and power structures operate in the real world, from local councils to international organisations. Ethics applies philosophical thinking to concrete moral questions, asking how we should respond to global challenges such as climate change, artificial intelligence, inequality and conflict. Together these three disciplines equip you to think seriously about what matters and why.
