About this course

Agriculture is one of humanity's oldest and most essential activities, concerned with the cultivation of crops and the rearing of livestock to produce food, fibre, and other commodities. As a university discipline it encompasses the biological science of plant and animal production, the technology of farm machinery and systems, the economics and business management of agricultural enterprises, and the environmental dimensions of how farming interacts with ecosystems, water, soil, and climate. The challenges facing agriculture in the twenty-first century, including feeding a growing global population sustainably while adapting to climate change, make it one of the most important fields of study and practice. At Anglia Ruskin University, this programme can be studied either over three years in a standard mode or over a part-time basis spanning four or six years, covering the same modules
