Business economics is the application of economic analysis to the decisions and environments that businesses actually face. Where pure economics asks broad questions about markets and welfare, business economics brings that analytical toolkit to bear directly on resource allocation within firms, competitive strategy, pricing, investment, organisational design, and the regulatory and market conditions that shape commercial outcomes. It is a discipline that produces graduates who can think rigorously about the economic forces that drive business decisions and global markets.
