Law is the system of rules, principles and institutions through which societies organise their affairs and resolve disputes. Studying it develops not just knowledge of the rules but the ability to reason with them critically: to understand where they came from, whom they serve, how they interact and how they might be changed. At its best, a law degree teaches you to read with precision, argue with rigour and write with clarity, skills that are valuable far beyond the legal profession itself.
