Mathematics, statistics and economics is a combination that brings together three quantitative disciplines that, in the modern world, are deeply intertwined. Mathematics provides the formal language of rigorous argument and the toolkit of techniques, from calculus and algebra to proof and numerical methods, that all quantitative work depends on.
