About this course

Mental health nursing is a specialist branch of the nursing profession dedicated to supporting people experiencing mental health difficulties, from anxiety and depression through to psychosis, personality disorders, eating disorders, and the mental health dimensions of acute physical illness. Mental health nurses work in inpatient units, community mental health teams, crisis services, schools, prisons, and primary care, forming therapeutic relationships and providing clinical care, advocacy, and emotional support during some of the most difficult periods of people's lives. At Middlesex University in London, this three-year full-time degree allows you to play an important role in a patient's recovery and to positively impact their lives, as the course describes.
