About this course

Mental health nursing is a specialist branch of the nursing profession dedicated to supporting people experiencing mental health difficulties, from anxiety and depression through to psychosis, personality disorders, eating disorders, and the mental health dimensions of acute physical illness. Mental health nurses work in inpatient units, community mental health teams, crisis services, schools, prisons, and primary care, forming therapeutic relationships and providing clinical care, advocacy, and emotional support during some of the most difficult periods of people's lives.
