About this course

Zoology with conservation is a degree that combines the scientific study of animals and their diversity with a focused engagement with one of the most urgent challenges of our time: the crisis of biodiversity loss and the extinction of species at a rate that has not been seen since the end of the dinosaurs. Zoology examines the physiology, behaviour, ecology, and evolution of animals across the full range of life on Earth. Conservation science asks how we can protect the species and ecosystems that remain, and what interventions are needed to reverse the losses that are already underway.
