Architectural Technology is the discipline concerned with the technical design and realisation of buildings. Where architecture focuses broadly on the conception and aesthetics of built form, architectural technology goes deep into the science and engineering behind how buildings actually perform: how they manage heat, light, and moisture, how they are structured and detailed, how materials behave over time, and how the construction process translates a design into a physical reality. It is a technically demanding field that requires precision, problem-solving, and an understanding of both regulatory frameworks and construction practice.
