Costume production is the craft of bringing characters and worlds to life through clothing: interpreting a designer's vision, working with period and contemporary cuts, selecting and manipulating fabrics, and constructing garments that must look right on stage, screen or in live performance even under harsh lighting and sustained physical use. It sits at the intersection of fashion construction, theatrical design and practical problem-solving, demanding both fine technical skill and a deep understanding of how costume functions within a wider creative vision.
