Economics and business and management are natural intellectual partners. Economics provides the theoretical frameworks and analytical tools for understanding how markets, firms, and whole economies function, while business and management focuses on the decisions, strategies, and processes through which organisations create value and navigate competitive and regulatory environments. Studying them together gives you a broader perspective than either alone, showing how macroeconomic forces shape the context in which business decisions are made and how the behaviour of firms in turn influences economic outcomes.
