Garment technology sits at the technical heart of the fashion and clothing industry, concerned with how garments are engineered, produced, and brought to market at scale. While fashion design focuses on the creative and aesthetic dimensions of clothing, garment technology addresses the technical challenges of translating a design into a product that can be made reliably, fits a range of body shapes, meets quality standards, performs as expected in wear and care, and is produced sustainably and ethically across a global supply chain.
