Geography is a discipline of unusual breadth, sitting at the intersection of the natural sciences and the social sciences and engaging with some of the most pressing challenges of the present. Physical geography examines the Earth's systems, including climate, hydrology, soils, coasts, and landforms, and the processes that shape and reshape them. Human geography investigates how people, societies, and economies interact with each other and with the physical world, examining spatial patterns of development and inequality, urbanisation, migration, and the politics of environmental change. Together they equip you to think about complex problems that span both the human and the natural.
