Law is the body of rules and principles that govern how individuals, organisations and states behave and how disputes between them are resolved. A law degree develops not just knowledge of the rules themselves but the analytical and advocacy skills needed to work with them, including the ability to read cases carefully, construct legal arguments, identify the principles beneath the precedents and apply them to new situations.
