Law is the framework through which societies organise collective life: defining rights and obligations, resolving disputes, constraining the exercise of power, and establishing the norms by which citizens and institutions are held to account. Studying law at university is not simply about learning rules; it is about developing the analytical precision, logical rigour, and capacity for careful argument that enable you to apply general principles to complex and contested situations. These capacities are valued not just in the legal profession but across a very wide range of careers.
