About this course
Mathematics with Statistics gives you a grounding in two disciplines that are deeply connected but distinct in emphasis. Mathematics develops your capacity for abstract reasoning, proof and modelling, building the logical foundations that underlie science, engineering, computing and economics. Statistics develops your ability to collect, analyse and interpret data in the presence of uncertainty, providing the tools needed to draw reliable conclusions from evidence and to communicate findings in ways that can guide decisions. Together, they create a degree with exceptional breadth of application. At Keele University this three-year full-time programme provides a solid foundation in both subjects, combining core work in mathematics and statistics with training in statistical software and the opportunity to explore advanced applications in areas such as medical statistics and financial mat
