Musical theatre and music production is a combination that reflects the reality of contemporary performance: the skills of performing and the skills of producing sound are increasingly intertwined in a musical landscape where live performance, recording, and digital distribution overlap. Musical theatre brings together singing, acting, and dance within the specific demands of the stage musical, a form with roots in the early twentieth century but evolving continuously in response to new creative influences and production techniques.
