Neuroscience and psychology at King's College London examines the relationship between brain and mind, investigating how the physical processes of the nervous system give rise to experience, thought, emotion, and behaviour. Neuroscience approaches these questions at the biological level, examining neural circuits, brain structures, and the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underpin mental function and disorder. Psychology brings complementary tools, asking how people perceive, think, remember, feel, and act, and how those processes break down in mental health conditions.
