About this course
Physics with astrophysics combines the foundational discipline of all natural science with the study of the largest structures and most extreme phenomena in the universe. Physics provides the mathematical and experimental framework for understanding matter, energy, space, and time, while astrophysics applies those frameworks to stars, galaxies, black holes, neutron stars, the cosmic microwave background, and the large-scale structure of the universe itself. Studying the two together means building a thorough grounding in the principles of physics while also developing specialist knowledge of the observations, theories, and computational methods that astronomy and astrophysics demand. At the University of Hull, this four-year full-time degree gives you a thorough understanding of fundamental physics and mathematics concepts alongside investigative skills you can apply in new areas of sci
