About this course
Systems engineering is the discipline that deals with the design, integration, and management of complex engineering systems, ones in which the interactions between components are as important as the components themselves. Modern aircraft, healthcare technologies, telecommunications networks, automated vehicles, and defence platforms are all systems engineering problems: no single engineering discipline is sufficient to understand or design them, and you need to be able to work at the boundaries where mechanical, electrical, software, and human factors all intersect. Systems engineers are the people who hold the whole picture together. At the University of Warwick, this four-year full-time MEng degree develops your understanding of engineering principles drawn from across multiple disciplines alongside the systems-level thinking that allows you to work on genuinely complex problems.
