Business information technology sits at the intersection of commerce and computing, addressing the practical challenge of how organisations use technology to operate more effectively, reach their customers, manage their information and make better decisions. It is a degree for people who are interested in both the business problems that technology is applied to and the technical systems used to solve them: neither pure computing nor pure business, but the space where the two meet.
