About this course

Law is the framework through which societies resolve disputes, protect individuals and regulate the exercise of power. A law degree is both a preparation for legal practice and one of the most rigorous intellectual trainings available in higher education, developing close reading of complex texts, precise argumentation, critical evaluation of evidence and the ability to apply general rules to specific facts. These are capabilities that are valuable in legal practice and across a very wide range of other professional contexts.
