Law is the framework of rules, rights, and obligations through which societies organise themselves, resolve disputes, protect individuals, and hold power to account. Studying it at degree level means learning not just what the law says but how it is constructed through legislation and judicial reasoning, why it takes the forms it does, and how it can be challenged and reformed.
