About this course

Adult nursing is one of the most fundamental and wide-ranging of the healthcare professions. Adult nurses provide care for people across the full adult lifespan, from young adults to the elderly, in settings that range from acute hospital wards and critical care units to community teams, care homes, and patients' own homes. The role demands a combination of clinical knowledge, technical skill, compassionate communication, and the ability to make sound judgments in complex and sometimes urgent situations. Adult nurses are at the centre of healthcare teams and are often the most consistent professional presence in a patient's care.
