Mathematics is one of the oldest and most fundamental of human intellectual endeavours, concerned with number, structure, space, and change. It is the language in which the natural sciences are written and the toolkit through which engineers, economists, and computer scientists solve problems of the greatest complexity and consequence. At the University of Nottingham, this three-year, full-time degree provides access to one of the UK's leading mathematics departments, with the option to undertake a foundation year for students who need additional preparation before beginning the main programme. You will study analysis, algebra, probability, statistics, and applied mathematics, developing deep understanding of the theoretical foundations of the subject alongside the capacity to apply mathematical reasoning to problems in the sciences, engineering, and beyond.
