It is the discipline from which many of the most transformative technologies of the modern world have emerged: lasers, semiconductors, medical imaging, telecommunications, and computing all trace their origins to discoveries in fundamental physics. Studying physics develops not just scientific knowledge but a distinctive way of thinking, combining mathematical rigour with physical intuition and the willingness to engage with problems that at first seem impossibly abstract.
