About this course

Adult nursing is the largest field of nursing in the UK, concerned with the care of people from the age of eighteen through to the end of life across the full range of acute, chronic, and complex health conditions. Adult nurses work in hospitals, community settings, care homes, hospices, and people's own homes, providing clinical care, health education, rehabilitation support, and end of life care. The role is both technically demanding and deeply relational, requiring strong clinical skills alongside the capacity to communicate sensitively with patients and families in situations that are often difficult and distressing. At the University of Chester, this three-year, full-time programme leads to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as an adult nurse.
