About this course

Economics and data analytics is a combination that reflects how the discipline of economics has evolved in the age of large datasets and powerful computational tools. Modern economic research and professional practice increasingly rely on the ability to work with data: to clean and structure it, to apply statistical and machine learning methods, to visualise findings, and to draw conclusions that are both economically meaningful and technically sound. This three-year full-time programme at the University of Manchester trains you in both the theory of economics and the practical skills of data analysis.
