Computing science with cyber security combines the foundations of computing with a specialist focus on the protection of digital systems, networks and data from attack. Computing science covers the theory and practice of software engineering, algorithms, data structures, systems architecture and programming. Cyber security adds to this a focused understanding of how vulnerabilities arise in computer systems, how attackers exploit them, and how defences are designed and implemented.
