Studying Arabic, Russian, and Spanish together is one of the most ambitious language combinations available, and the rationale for it is compelling. These three languages between them give access to the three most geopolitically significant linguistic worlds outside English: Arabic, the language of the Middle East, North Africa, and Islamic intellectual tradition; Russian, the language of one of the world's largest states and one of the UN's six official languages; and Spanish, spoken by hundreds of millions of people across Spain, Latin America, and the United States. A graduate fluent in all three alongside English possesses a genuinely exceptional range of cultural and communicative access.
