About this course
Fashion business and marketing is a discipline that examines the commercial side of one of the world's most culturally influential industries. It is distinct from fashion design: rather than creating garments, it focuses on how fashion products reach consumers, how brands are built and managed, how fashion is bought, merchandised and sold, and how the business models of fashion companies are evolving in response to digital disruption, sustainability pressures and changing consumer behaviour. The discipline draws on marketing theory, retail management, consumer psychology, supply chain knowledge and digital commerce to build a commercially grounded understanding of how fashion works as an industry.
