About this course
Mechanical engineering is the engineering discipline most concerned with how things move, how they are made and how they carry and transform energy. It encompasses everything from the design of individual components and mechanisms to the analysis of large-scale thermal and fluid systems, and its methods are applied across aerospace, automotive, energy, manufacturing, robotics and countless other sectors. The discipline trains you to think rigorously about physical systems, to apply mathematical and computational tools to analyse their behaviour and to make sound engineering judgements about design, materials and manufacturing. At Coventry University, this three-year full-time programme invites you to explore how things work, move and are made, developing the skills and knowledge to design, build and improve mechanical systems across industries including aerospace, automotive and manufac
