About this course

Architectural engineering sits at the intersection of architecture and engineering, concerned with the design and performance of buildings as integrated systems. Where architecture focuses on the spatial, aesthetic and cultural dimensions of buildings, and structural or services engineering focuses on the technical systems within them, architectural engineering brings these together, developing professionals who can think across the design and technical dimensions of the built environment simultaneously. The result is a discipline that is increasingly valuable as buildings become more technically complex, environmentally demanding and performance-driven.
