About this course

Biomedical science is the scientific study of human health and disease, concerned with the laboratory disciplines that underpin clinical diagnosis, medical research, and the development of new treatments. It draws on biochemistry, microbiology, haematology, immunology, histopathology, and molecular biology to understand the mechanisms of disease and to develop the analytical tools used in clinical laboratories to detect and monitor it.
