About this course
Biomedical science is dedicated to understanding the biological and chemical processes that underpin human health, and to applying that understanding to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. It is the discipline behind the laboratory tests that diagnose infections and cancers, the research that identifies new therapeutic targets, and the quality assurance systems that ensure clinical samples are reliable. This three-year full-time BSc at Sheffield Hallam University includes a foundation year entry route, a sandwich placement year, and work placement experience, giving you multiple pathways and substantial practical engagement alongside your academic learning.
