About this course

Psychology with neuroscience brings together two closely related disciplines to give you a fuller picture of how the mind and brain work. Psychology examines behaviour, thought, and emotion, using experimental and theoretical methods to understand why people think and act as they do. Neuroscience investigates the biological mechanisms underlying these mental processes, exploring the structure and function of the brain and nervous system and the ways in which neural activity gives rise to perception, memory, emotion, and consciousness. Together, the two disciplines reinforce each other, providing both the experimental rigour of psychology and the biological grounding of neuroscience.
