About this course
Arts and social sciences is an interdisciplinary programme designed for students who want to explore the humanistic and social scientific study of culture, society, history, and human experience without being confined to a single discipline at the outset. The arts and the social sciences have always been in dialogue: literature, history, philosophy, and the arts tell us how people understand their lives, while sociology, economics, politics, and psychology ask how social structures and forces shape those lives. A programme that brings these perspectives together develops graduates who can move across disciplinary boundaries and engage with complex questions from multiple angles.
